  International friendship woods
Located 100 meters to the northwest of the Pass, the woods was constructed on October 28, 2003. It is named by the Municipal Government as a state-level protection zone of key woods for public welfare. The woods help to improve the ecological environment of the scenic spot. It purifies the air, weakens sandstorms, and controls soil erosion to become a green protective screen of the capital city. The pathways skirting in the woods are lined with many boards illustrating the surrounding environments of the scenic spot and classical landscapes. They enable tourists to understand the history and culture of the Great Wall and perceive the importance of environment protection towards human existence.
